We got our start when we were awarded grants from NC IDEA in December 2013, and from Innovation Fund North Carolina in May 2014. RE-vibe was launched in the marketplace in late 2015.
Our mission is to leverage technology to empower people with additional opportunities in education and work. We do this by providing safe, alternative options to support those struggling with focus, concentration, and on-task behavior. By supporting our customers’ needs for independence, our hope is to instill confidence, improve self-esteem, and ultimately improve the lives of our users using technology.
Our company was founded on the belief that everyone deserves equal access to education and vocational opportunity. Our aim is to “level the playing field”, regardless of one’s background, diagnosis, special needs, or any other potential challenge. Because of this belief, we work to ensure that our products are top quality, research-based, and are making a positive impact in our customers’ lives. We want our customers to feel supported throughout the process of using our products, so we maintain diligent communication to understand their needs and feedback. We pride ourselves on having a people-centric company culture, with strong attention to detail, sound ethics driving our decisions, and an aim towards continuous improvement.

About Innovation Fund NC
The statewide initiative, Innovation Fund North Carolina, is directed by Catawba Valley Community College engaging a deliberate network of higher education institutions, private and public incubators and accelerators, private investors, and private and public economic development organizations. Due to the six year leadership of only the third president in the college’s history, Dr. Garrett Hinshaw, Catawba Valley Community College was selected as one of only three community colleges nationally to participate in a demonstration project sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, called Innovation Fund America, whereby community colleges provide earliest seed-stage capital to entrepreneurial startup businesses. Catawba Valley Community College is highly entrepreneurial in fulfilling its dual mission of impacting education and economic development, so fostering entrepreneurship is part of its core DNA and campus culture.
